Based on polls most Israelis doesn’t care about people getting killed. They are just scared now that their air defense systems are crippled. Iran destroyed many of the early warning systems in the region in early days so now the air raid sirens come too late and the barrages of cheap missiles and drones are burning through their interceptor supplies which leads to multiple direct strikes per day.

I recall an Israeli saying (as a complaint, which was weird) that they (only) get 3-8 minutes warning time when a strike is about to occur; Palestinians before October 7th used to get at most up to two minutes before Israel would strike their apartment buildings (I recall Palestinians saying it was thirty seconds) so by Israeli standards they’re getting a ton of time to be honest. At worst it’s 50% better, at best 300%, so I don’t know what the issue is.
