    More giant media companies consolidated into the hands of a few.

    This is extremely dangerous to our democracy.

    What I didn’t see mentioned in this article, but heard on the radio, is that they’re going to be focused on AI journalism so we can expect great slop from an already pretty shabby Torygraph.

      Technically, it isn’t a monopoly if there are at least two, e.g. Murdoch and Axel Springer.
      So, no to the big corborate media oligopoly!

        Technically there’s nothing wrong with oligopolies if they abuse their market power. 🤭

      Berlusconi in Italy ed originally famously forbidden from owning more than 3 TV stations. Nowadays it doesn’t sound like much but at the time it meant that he had half of the TV stations that actually mattered.
