What we are most proud of in Spain is our ham and our oil, I know that in many places the Italian is more famous, but try the Spanish version, you won’t regret it

Spanish wines are underrated too: Rioja, Ribeira, albarino. Not to mention all the types of sherry. And the cheeses: cabrales, manchego, tetilla, the smoky Sam Simón… 🤤

Wines are a topic in which I don’t understand much, but I recommend that if you can, try the reds from Monterrei or Riveira Sacra, both very close to where I live and with a mild flavor. We have good cheeses, but the competition throughout Europe is strong and it is always difficult to stand out, San Simon is my favorite.

Adding them to my list! I’ve had the Riveira Sacra park on my hiking to do list for a while now. That area is gorgeous.

The great thing about European food, especially cheese but really anything, is it gets hyper regional. They’re all delicious in their own way. Gotta try them all.
