From what I’ve read about him, he’s not. He’s fighting the cartels, but he’s actually criticizing purely punitive measures by the French state for not fighting the root of the problem. He wants to provide a way out for young people who got involved with gangs and drug traficking.

It’s yet another hopeless war. Legalizing other substances, just like tobacco and alcohol, should eradicate black market (and violent cartels as a result) much more effectively. I believe so…

Also: don’t do drugs, do something better for yourself. Love n hobbies, maybe?

Fixing foundations of societies would probably help stop mafias from “needing” to form, and also help stop people from the feeling they need to escape via drugs.

And it would still be great, if we could get access to drugs legally. People have always done drugs and will always do drugs. Not because they need an escape from reality, but because they are fun. Would be nice if we weren’t forced to rely on shady people not lacing it with stuff just so that we can consume the drug of our choice.

Well… Probably not a cop, that does whatever they can to stop the drug mafia? Idk sounds like he’s a guy that hates the cartels, not the drugs themselves, and that in my eyes is wholly justified.

Seems weird to phrase that as “anti-drugs” rather than “anti-cartel”

Being “anti-drugs” can be a positive position of support for drug users and tackling the root of the problem.
Not just “do drugs = bad guy”. But actually understanding the problem, and addressing it
